Protecting 2nd Amendment Rights

As a lifetime member of the NRA and as a gun owner, I will protect our 2nd Amendment rights. Our Constitution is clear. We have the right to keep and bear arms. I will not support the Clinton era bans that expired in 2004 and will work to stop the actions by liberal gun control advocates and czars to restrict our freedoms. I will work to remove any restrictions from gun shows and our right to carry across state lines and across our country. We have a right to protect ourselves.

Protecting Private Property Rights

I will fight to strengthen our private property rights and to limit the control federal bureaucrats have over not only our land, but our lives. “Eminent Domain” laws to seize land from private citizens should only be to serve the common good, not third parties, and the government must provide just compensation to the property owner.

Protect our Judeo-Christian Heritage

I believe our nation needs to stand strong and defend our religious heritage in the United States. The right to voluntary prayer in schools as well as efforts to preserve this nation’s religious heritage - such as displays of the Ten Commandments or a cross on public property should be upheld. To quote John Adams, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Primary Issues

Spending and the Expansion of Government - Federal government spending has gotten out of control and as a result we are saddling our children and future generations with unsustainable amounts of debt.
Healthcare - The U.S healthcare system is the best in the world, and it is vital that we not only continue to keep it the best but work to increase access to it so every American can receive the care they need.
Energy Independence & Our Environment - The taxes and radical environmental policies of the Democratic leadership are breaking the backs of working families and the businesses that employee them.
