Americans for Prosperity applauds Lou Ann's stand in signing the No Climate Tax Pledge.

Murfreesboro, Tennessee - Lou Ann Zelenik, Candidate for Congress in Tennessee's Sixth District has been honored by the grassroots pro-economic growth organization, Americans for Prosperity for pledging her commitment to oppose new regulations that will increase taxes on working Tennesseans.

By, signing the "No Climate Tax" pledge, Zelenik joins more than 300 officials and candidates across America standing in opposition to higher energy taxes. "I have been out front in my opposition to energy tax schemes such as 'Cap and Trade' throughout 2009," Zelenik said. "With our President jetting off to Denmark to bow at the altar of radical environmentalism and Nancy Pelosi determined to burden us with higher

energy taxes, now is not the time to trust professional politicians with our nation's energy policy. Americans who understand the impact of government meddling on farms, small businesses and the family budget must be the ones who stand up with bold statements and defend Tennessee's working families against the liberal agenda.

As a member of Congress I will promote policies that give small business a fair playing field and get government out of the way. As the only candidate in this race to build a successful company, I fully understand the consequences when politicians get their hands on our economic policies. I will always stand on the side of the men and women who create the jobs and pay the bills."
