Zelenik announced her senior campaign management team

 

 

Murfreesboro--- Sixth District Republican Congressional Candidate Lou Ann Zelenik announced her senior campaign management team.  Her announcement names Carlyle Gregory, President of the Carlyle Gregory Company, as her General Consultant, and Jay Heine as her Campaign Manager. "They bring a wealth of knowledge, political experience, and have been leaders in many conservative causes. I am thrilled that Carlyle and Jay will be working with our team to bring our government back to 'We the People'", said Zelenik.

Carlyle Gregory managed the first election of Newt Gingrich to Congress from Georgia. He subsequently became Field Director for the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee, and Special Assistant for Political Affairs under President Ronald Reagan. He has successfully managed dozens of political campaigns throughout the country. Congressman Gingrich said of Gregory, "Without your skills, dedication, and professionalism, I would not have won...you truly helped launch the revolution."

Jay Heine, who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Zelenik campaign, is a native of Iowa.  Jay started as a straw poll coordinator for Bush 2000 that resulted Bush's victory at the Ames Iowa Straw poll.  Jay went on to work for numerous congressional and senatorial campaigns.  Most recently was the Iowa Political Director for Sen. Sam Brownback's 2008 presidential campaign and the senior grassroots adviser and led efforts for the Evangelical and Conservative outreach for McCain-Palin 2008.

Zelenik is a former chair of the Rutherford County Republican Party and a key organizer in the local Tea Party movement. She was the founder and co-owner of L&N Construction Company in Murfreesboro and board member for "A Soldiers Child" which honors the children of fallen soldiers on their birthdays. Lou Ann launched her campaign last fall prompting 13 term congressman Bart Gordon to retire.
