Zelenik Announces Rutherford Co. Steering Committee

MSixth District Congressional Candidate Lou Ann Zelenik has announced the formation of her Rutherford County Steering Committee. This group of civic and political leaders will help advise her campaign on matters that specifically concern activities within Rutherford County.

 

 

Murfreesboro-- Sixth District Congressional Candidate Lou Ann Zelenik has announced the formation of her Rutherford County Steering Committee.  This group of civic and political leaders will help advise her campaign on matters that specifically concern activities within Rutherford County.
 
"I am honored and humbled that these fine people have agreed to take their time to help our campaign bring conservative, Tennessee values to Washington DC", said Zelenik. "This is actually the initial group that we've put together, there are many more who are contributing to make sure every part of Rutherford county is reached. This campaign is about 'We the People', and I want anybody who is committed to taking our government back to be a part of it."
 
Zelenik's campaign manager, Jay Heine added, "I have been involved in many campaigns, and I can honestly say this is the strongest group of concerned citizens, it has been my pleasure to meet. We will not only be adding to this group, but we are putting strong committees together throughout the sixth district."

Zelenik is campaigning for the Republican nomination for the congressional seat being vacated by Bart Gordon. She is a former Chair of the Rutherford County Republican Party, and was a key organizer for last year’s Tea Party protest, including a rally in Murfreesboro which drew over 3,000 people. She announced her candidacy last fall to take on Gordon, and he announced his retirement shortly thereafter.
